Every engagement starts from your situation and your state. A licensed attorney drafts the trust, deed, affidavit, or power of attorney you need, and a second review checks it before it is delivered. There is no template library behind the order form.
State rules checked on every document
Deed formalities, witness and notary rules, small estate limits, Medicaid income caps and look-back rules differ by state and change often. Each document is prepared to the statutes in force in your state on the day it is drafted.
Guides built on primary sources
Our guides cite the statute, the agency, or the survey behind every figure: state probate and property codes, CMS and state Medicaid agency publications, the Social Security Administration, and the CareScout Cost of Care Survey for long-term care costs.
Dated, reviewed, and corrected
Every guide shows when it was published and when it was last reviewed. When a federal figure or a state rule changes, the affected pages are updated and re-dated. If you spot an error, tell us and we fix it.
Who we work with
Most of our clients are adult children arranging care for a parent, homeowners planning how the house passes to the next generation, and families settling a small estate after a death. The documents they need, such as a Medicaid asset protection trust, a lady bird deed, or a small estate affidavit, have a deadline or a large asset attached, so we quote quickly and explain every step in plain language.
What we do not do
LegalQuill is not a law firm. We draft documents at your direction; we do not represent you, appear in court, file documents for you, or sign on your behalf.
