Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use legalquill.org, request a quote, or order a document from LegalQuill ("we", "us"). By requesting a quote or paying for a document, you agree to them.

1. What we do, and what we do not

LegalQuill prepares legal documents at your direction. Each document is drafted by a licensed attorney to your state's requirements and reviewed before delivery.

LegalQuill is not a law firm. We do not give legal advice, represent you, appear in court, or file documents on your behalf, and using this website or our services does not create an attorney-client relationship. Articles, guides, and calculators on this site are general information, not advice about your situation. If you need advice or representation, consult a lawyer licensed in your state.

2. Quotes

Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Your quote states the document or documents, the state they are prepared for, and one flat fee covering drafting, attorney review, and delivery with signing instructions. Work outside that scope, such as a different document, additional parties, or facts that change after drafting begins, is quoted separately before any extra charge.

3. Payment

You pay the flat fee in your quote before drafting begins. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe through our payment processor, and the charge appears on your statement as LUNASTRIC, LLC. Recording fees, notary fees, and any government filing fees are paid by you directly to those offices and are not part of our fee.

4. Your responsibilities

• Give us complete and accurate information, and tell us promptly if anything changes.
• Read your document before signing it and ask us about anything unclear.
• Sign, witness, notarize, and record the document as your instructions describe. Documents that are not executed or recorded correctly may not be effective.

5. Delivery and revisions

We deliver finished documents by email with plain-language signing and recording instructions. Revisions within the scope of your quote, and corrections of any error on our side, are free as described in our Refund Policy.

6. No guaranteed outcomes

Many results depend on facts and decisions outside our control. We do not guarantee that a government agency will approve a Medicaid application, that a title company, bank, or county recorder will accept a document, or that any particular tax or legal outcome will follow. State laws change; your document is prepared under the law in effect when it is drafted.

7. Your document and our content

Once paid for, the document we prepare for you is yours to use for your own personal, family, and estate planning purposes. The content of this website, including articles, calculators, and design, belongs to LegalQuill and may not be copied for commercial use.

8. Refunds

Cancellations, revisions, and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a document or our services is limited to the amount you paid us for that document, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Privacy

How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it in good faith. If that fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted and apply to quotes and orders made after that date; the terms in effect when you paid apply to your order.
